No. You are welcome to attend our group classes without a partner. Students rotate partners during many classes, which helps everyone practice, meet other students, and become more comfortable dancing with different people. Couples who prefer to remain together may speak with the instructor before class.

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Comfortable shoes that stay securely on your feet are best. Dance shoes are recommended but are not required when you are first getting started. Avoid flip-flops, loose sandals, very high heels, and shoes with thick or strongly gripping rubber soles. Clean sneakers or comfortable shoes with a relatively smooth sole are usually a good choice for beginners.

Students may record the instructor's demonstration when permission is given. Class registrations, packages, private lessons, and event purchases are generally nonrefundable unless SaGa Dancers Studio cancels the service. Any rescheduling, cancellation, expiration, or account-credit rules connected to a particular package will be explained during registration or in the applicable agreement.

All regularly scheduled group classes are 90 minutes long, giving students plenty of time to learn new material, practice with different partners, ask questions, and receive instructor feedback.

During the evaluation lesson, your instructor will learn about your wedding, your chosen song, your dance experience, your timeline, and the type of first dance you imagine. You will try some basic movements together so the instructor can evaluate your comfort, rhythm, connection, and natural movement as a couple. You will then receive recommendations for the most appropriate lesson plan, choreography style, and level of difficulty. There is no pressure to perform perfectly during the evaluation. Its purpose is to help us create a first dance that feels natural and appropriate for you.
